John and Ashley

Where do I start? For as long as I can remember, my nephew and his friend Johnny were always around my sisters house. Any sort of family dinner, Johnny was always invited, it was a given. Somewhere over the years, these boys grew up. That's when John introduced Ashley. When my sister told me they were getting married, I put it in her ear that I wanted to photograph their special day. And YAY! They chose me! I absolutely love this couple, their families, friends, and I loved this wedding.

We started the day with the bridal party getting ready at Desert View Bible Church.

Ashley had the sweetest bridesmaids! They were all there to ensure Ashley had the perfect wedding day experience!

Eventually I got over to John's side of the church. Now, John's all about the outdoors. I wondered if he would be comfortable in a tux. I still don't know if he was or not, but he sure pulled it off!

Three of these handsome men are my nephews!

Ashley had some unique touches to the wedding. I LOVED the rings on this bible! The  boutonnieres were placed in shot gun shells! LOVE it!

The sun was crazy at the start of pictures and there was very little open shade at the church, so I used it to our advantage and got some fun sun flare shots!

After The sun flare fun, we headed to another location to block that sun!

Can't you just feel their happiness?

Ashley really wanted to capture the emotion in her pictures. Well, that was easy. It was written all over their faces!

I love how happy they are!

John's groomsmen bought cigars in celebration of his big day! I find cigar smoke so fun to photograph!

Thank you John and Ashley for allowing me to capture your amazing day. I loved every minute and I can't wait to see where this wonderful journey takes you!

Another fab HS Senior!

I have the best time photographing HS seniors. I don't know if it's the sparkle in their eye when you ask about plans for the future, or the fact that they are so comfortable in front of the camera, but it never feels like work. I would photograph HS seniors every single time if I had a choice. They make me that happy.
My latest senior was no exception. I am genuinely excited for the path she is about to embark. What a great time of life... so much ahead.

One Great Session!

I haven't blogged in forever! I'm not even sure I remember how! Well...there's nothing like a great and inspiring photo shoot to get me back in the blogging saddle!
So, here's the background- I got a call from a HS senior wanting wild flowers or cotton fields. Sadly, neither were in season! Then, my family went to brunch and it hit me- this is a great location. Now, when my senior hopped out of the car, I almost squealed in delight! She was so stinkin' cute! And, get this...super sweet!
 I. Just. Loved. Her.
I'd explain all the images, but to sum it up, we got our basic must have shots in the first 10 minutes. Then, we played! We had the best time! This was not work, it was a very rewarding hobby! Grab your coffee...this is long one!

I couldn't even begin to decide what to post...it was so much fun! Now, you know why I love HS Senior sessions SOOOO much!
