Seriously FAB wedding!

Some days I look at my surroundings and think, "Am I SERIOUSLY getting paid for this?"
Recently, the fab Mary Sandy asked if I was ok photographing the groom for getting ready pics. (Honestly, I'd be happy taking pics of the grass, but that's another story...") Anyway, I said,"Of course!" Yes, brides are prettier, and they generally come with miles of flowing fabric, hair, and make-up (my fav) but the guys, well, the guys have some cool rituals too! This wedding was filled with greatness from getting ready to reception! And yes, I was with Jeremy and the guys for getting ready! And it was almost as fun as hair and make-up!

After I left Jeremy, I found Mary taking formals of the beautiful Corinne. I so enjoyed the warm lighting of this wedding!

After Corrine's formals, we followed up with a few of the groom.

There were some wonderful details to this wedding. I really loved the idea of donations instead of traditional favors.

Jeremy looked a mix of excited, and proud, and very happy waiting for his bride to walk down the aisle.

The first dance was fantastic! It was just a taste of the fun that the reception would bring. These two, their family, and their friends were so ready to celebrate this union!

I loved this picture toward the end of the night of the bride's parents. All stress gone, they took a moment to truly be happy. Can't you see it on their faces?

There must have been a full moon that night, or close to it. I caught it high above the cake just before cutting.

What a great way to spend a Saturday in November! Capturing the happy moments of a wonderful day. I am truly thankful to have these opportunities, and I thank you all for letting me share them with you!

Mr and Mrs Smith

Last week, I was lucky enough to second shoot for Mary Sandy at the fabulous wedding of Tim and Brandee at the very cool Tempe Center for the Arts.
If Audrey Hepburn and Martha Stewart became one, you'd get Mrs. Smith. That's how I would explain Brandee, she had the beauty and gracefulness of Audrey, but the DIY talent and eye for details of Martha! There may be a DIY show in the future for Mrs. Smith! I do believe this hanger was her handy work!

The elements of the day were water and wind! The venue was surrounded by water, and mother nature brought in a dust storm right before the ceremony. It cleared just in time, and even allowed us some wind to capture these fun blowing dress shots!

It's all in the Details!

Ok...we all know how much I LOOOVE the details. This Saturday, I had the pleasure of second shooting for Mary Sandy at George and Kristen's detailed wedding!
First thing I notice when I enter the home where the grooms getting ready? The cutest pup EVER! I quickly learned that this is no ordinary dog, he is a part of the family, and even a part of this couples social network! This dog attends most festivities and was THIS close to wearing a tux on their special day!

The guys were a serious group prior to the wedding. Of course, there was a football game on. Need I say more?

When I entered the clubhouse, I knew I was going to have fun! You walked right into the first details of the day, and then you kept finding them at every turn!

The fabulous Mary Sandy took the engagement photo they had on display!

AZ Celebrity DJ had a photo booth set up. These were just a few of the fun props they had for the guests to use!

The ceremony was very touching. I noticed more than one bridesmaid wiping away tears.

Congratulations George and Kristen! If the absolute look of happiness you two had on your faces after the ceremony is any indication, you two will have a wonderful life together!

Follow the signs. Sometimes, I believe, the universe send you hints or "signs" of what's to come. On a hot Saturday in October, I noticed that the universe was trying to tell me that this particular wedding was going to be wonderful! I was a second shooter for Mary Sandy Photography. When the bride arrived with the dress, we opened the garment bag, and there was sign #1. My fav dress of all time! This dress has pockets!

As the day went on, the signs kept coming. This great couple met at game night! Playing Rock Band!!!

The ceremony was very touching. I almost forgot to take pictures I was so caught up in it!

The theme of the day was games. There were many great details. I'd have to say, all the signs point to a long, happy marriage!
